                                         SENIOR BUSINESS ANALYST 
 
One of our financial Industry clients is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join its Enterprise Systems Technology team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing business requirements gathering, documentation, execution, and ongoing support of companywide initiatives such as trading applications, trade settlements, middle office, and international operations. They will be knowledgeable of industry best practices, have a strong background in workflow and data analysis, and a desire to build automated and optimized procedures and workflows. This candidate will be a key contributor of the Technology team, interacting with members of the Project Management Office, Business stakeholders, and serve as a key liaison between all sides of the business. 
 
Responsibilities:
•        Work collaboratively with Business, Operations and Technical teams, to create & improve controls and procedures with a focus on automation and optimization
•       May be asked to serve as a point person on various projects and work closely with our Project Management Team and developers
•        Proactively reach out to vendors for support, best practices, and to stay apprised of new offerings that can be utilized company wide
•        Strong knowledge and experience with Agile development methodologies and practices. Demonstrated use of concepts such as Scrum, Product Owner, Kanbans, etc.
 
Requirements 
•        5-10 years of experience in Business Analysis; Candidate must have experience in Financial Services
•        Hands on experience working with Development teams, Application Support & Management, and Operations
•        Understanding of Financial Asset Classes – Equities, Options, Fixed Income, Futures, SWAPs, etc – A BIG PLUS
•        General understanding of FIX engines and messages
•        Knowledge of the equity/option/global trade settlement and life cycle
 
Skills
Hands on technical skills, strong analytical and SQL skills, and an understanding of relational databases preferred

  • Demonstrated experience with cloud based productivity software such as Sharepoint, Confluence, Slack
  • Excellent verbal and written skills required
  • Ability to clearly and effectively translate business requirements into measurable objectives for development and QA teams
  • Must have excellent time management skills, and the ability to prioritize and manage many tasks simultaneously
  • Experience with the Fidessa OMS and its UAT environment desirable but not required
