Job Description
One of our Manufacturing clients on Long Island, NY is seeking a SQL Database Administrator that can build, configure and maintain MS SQL and .Net framework as well as manage and support existing applications. He/She will be responsible for maintaining performance and analyzing requirements and functionality. Visual Studio experience would be very helpful.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Maintain database performance, implement new releases, complete maintenance requirements
- Perform daily DBA task during SDLC (system development life cycle), including reviewing logs, establishing and responding to automated monitoring
- Secure network by developing network access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; maintaining documentation. Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations. Ensure all hardware, operating systems, anti-virus, and server programs are current with updates.
Experience with DevExpress, VB, and any networking experience is a plus. My client is looking for a team player in a small environment where you will have the opportunity to work in different areas of technology on a daily basis. Knowledge of Active Directory administration, Windows server operating system, VMWare, as well as server and desktop hardware maintenance, Microsoft Windows and Office Suite applications and MS SQL and .NET database scripting knowledge.
