INFRASTRUCTURE AUTOMATION ENGINEER
As part of a team that's leading the next wave of technology on a whole new scale, you will play an integral part in advancing our client's Cloud eco-system and culture of technical excellence. You will champion Infrastructure Automation, support Hybrid Cloud Solutions, and display a strong understanding of Cloud-as-a-Service varieties: PaaS, IaaS, and SaaS. Creating the next generation of network-centric Cloud architectures, you will make a key contribution supporting end-to-end public Cloud Automation of application delivery, including Infrastructure provisioning and integration with Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) platforms, using existing and emerging technologies. The ideal candidate will have experience moving infrastructure to the Cloud!
Responsibilities:

Comprehensive knowledge of the functional and technical aspects of the platforms

Able to troubleshoot complex hardware and software defects
-
Identify technical obstacles early and work to find creative solutions
-
Educate team members (including BSAs, Scrum Masters and Product Owners) on capabilities and constraints of technology platforms

Review, analyze, and modify programming systems, including coding, testing, debugging and installing
-
Maintain records to document program development, revisions, system development, and evolution

Perform data analytics to support job functions
-
Provides ongoing support to existing systems as needed
-
Monitors operating efficiency of existing systems
-
Defines and maintains system/application configurations
-
Communicate technical info to peers, vendors and customers
-
Estimate level of effort to meet acceptance criteria
-
Focus on continuous improvement practices as required to meet quality / time to market imperatives
-
Provide 3rd level support as needed
This role provides exposure to:
- Full-stack development including provisioning, configuration and auto deployments
- Hands on CICD pipeline maintenance and support
- Machine Learning tools
- Container orchestration (Docker, AWS ECS, or Kubernetes)
- Chef, Ansible, and other continuous deployment tools
- AWS cloud technologies (S3 bucket administration; EC2; ELB; Security Groups; IGW; ACLs; IAM, ASG, etc)
Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
-
At least 1 year of experience with programming languages

At least 3 years of Linux Administration experience
-
At least 2 years experience with AWS cloud technologies (S3 bucket administration; EC2; ELB; Security Groups; IGW; ACLs; IAM management)
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering
-
At least 2 years of experience in Applications Technical Support or Incident Management or Incident Response Team or Release Management

At least 2 years of experience in Reporting and Analysis
-
At least 2 years of experience in Resiliency related activities and best practices
-
At least 2 years experience with programming languages (Python)
-
At least 2 years experience with scripting (shell, bash, perl)
- Active AWS certifications
- At least 1 year of on call production support
- At least 1 year hands on with Chef / Ansible / any other continuous deployment tools
