NETWORK TELECOM ENGINEER

One of our financial clients is looking for an experienced Network Telecom Engineer with strong experience in voice and video  for network infrastructure and telecom that  can be can deliver uninterrupted business service performing scheduled maintenance and ownership of projects and implementations. 

Main areas of expertise include: voice, video, date, network security and logistics.

 

Responsibilities:

· Work on assigned network infrastructure projects for voice and video area
technologies.
· Perform analysis of alerts and events reported by voice network management
platforms and work with senior staff on resolution
· Provide support during system installations across all sites
· Provide 2nd level support on daily network infrastructure issues reported to unified
support group
· Provide support to other Systems Infrastructure teams during project implementation
· Maintain inventory of network and telecom devices
· Facilitate meeting with vendors and maintain vendor contact database

 

Required Skills

  • Knowledge on configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance of: Cisco SBC routers,
    Call Manager, Connection Unity, Video Communication servers, Telepresence server,
    Telepresence management servers, Dealer Board (turret) system, switches,
    firewalls
    · Ability to perform installations of Cisco Unified Communication components on Cisco
    USC servers setup on VMware - ESXi platform.
    · Knowledge on troubleshooting networking issues related to voice, video, QOS and data
    networks
    · Understanding of Cisco Unified communication environments, dial plans, PSTN SIP
    access
    · Knowledge of voice and video call routing across Cisco Unified Communication
    components.
    · Understanding of routing protocols EIGRP, BGP, NAT, LACP, CDP, UDLD, VPC,
    DNS, DHCP
    · Knowledge on network management platforms: Cisco Collaboration and Assurance,
    Solarwinds-Orion Platforms, Cisco Prime Infrastructure, Cisco DCNM.
    · Ability to support mixed voice, video and data networks
    · Capability of performing and complete tasks and projects independently
    · Understanding of WiFi networks and basic components

   7 - 10 Years Experience
· Knowledge on maintenance and troubleshooting networking issues related to voice, video communication, QOS and data networks
· Understanding of Cisco Unified communication environments setup on VMware -    ESXi platform.
· Knowledge of voice trading system-turrets and voice recording.
· Capability to design and understand global voice dial plans.
· Ability to support mixed voice, video and data networks
· Capability of performing and complete tasks and projects independently
· Knowledge on network management platforms: Cisco Collaboration and Assurance SolarWinds-Orion Platforms, Prime Infrastructure, DCNM.
· Knowledge of routing and other protocols EIGRP, BGP, NAT, LACP, CDP, UDLD,
VPC, DNS, DHCP
· Understanding of WiFi networks and basic components
· Ability to perform copper and fiber cable structure work
