FULL STACK DEVELOPER
One of our financial clients is seeking a Mid-Level Full stack developer to join their Data Analytics and Data Engineering team. The teams core responsibility consists of treasury, counterparty risk and portfolio financing and optimization workflow modules.
The ideal candidate should have a deep background in programming highly scalable distributed systems. The candidate will also get the opportunity to work with product management and support team to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software solutions spanning multiple technology platforms. Technical decisions are made collaboratively, with considerations given to the latest, most innovative technologies, enabling you to continue growing your skills.
● Work on data analytics solutions using Python and Pandas
Build out features on our internal web platform
● Help push our monolithic architecture to a new, evolved service-oriented architecture
● Building and testing full services and components
● Work with product management and support team to gather requirements
● Act as a leader helping to mentor junior developers and code review peers
● Create ideas and solutions for anything noticed as an issue or bottleneck
● Streamlining and build on the specifications using Python/SQL
● Responsible for data quality, improvement of data to meet the defined specifications
● Write automated test cases for data integrity and validation
● Able to support the existing client base and business processes and respond in timely manner to ad hoc support requests
SKILLS EXPERIENCE:
● Programming skills Python, Pandas, SQL, JavaScript/AngularJS (Java a plus)
● Continuous Integration/Deployment tools, preferably Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes
● Working knowledge of relational databases (preferably Postgres)
● Strong creativity and problem-solving skills with focus on product quality
● Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar preferred
● 3-5 years of working experience in financial markets, particularly prime brokerage or hedge funds
