SHAREPOINT APPLICATION SUPPORT SPECIALIST


The candidate will focus on configuration, customization, integration and maintenance/ administration of the Microsoft Project Server 2013 solution for the company. Microsoft Project Server has been implemented in  and currently all IT projects are required to use this tool for managing their projects.

 

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

Implement new solutions and enhancements to the application. This may take the form of configuration changes to address defined requirements (e.g., create project detail pages, develop reports, configure workflows, custom development, create custom web parts, create changes to templates, customize project team sites, etc.) 
 
Provide user support, for example, address & resolve errors / issues the users may encounter with using the tool; Answer “how to” questions; Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical platform issues. Provide quarterly incident report based on the support calls and issues addressed. 
 
Develop custom solutions based on business & technical requirements. 
 
Administration - perform the following but not limited to raising access requests to provision user access to the application; apply service patches / upgrades, perform database clean up activities. Configure SharePoint project sites and trouble shoot issues associated with the SharePoint project sites. Maintain service accounts and passwords. Perform application validation after Server patch upgrades and Disaster Recovery Testing. 
 
Deploy packages to web server(s)
 
Develop Microsoft Project Server integration capability to other applications (e.g., Oracle HR, Lotus Notes databases etc.
 
Assist Project Manager with requirements definition  for Microsoft Project Server capability extensions
Interface with vendors to resolve technical platform issues

 

 Qualifications:

 

Experience/Knowledge  Requirements

Minimum 3 years of Microsoft Project Server 2013 and 2010 implementation experience.
Minimum 3 years of System Integration experience with MS Project Server
Minimum 3 years of experience with MS Sharepoint Development
Knowledge of MS Project Server 2013 is required; Knowledge of MS Project Server 2016 is not required but would be a plus.
Ability to collaborate with different teams, including vendors to get the job done
Proficient in MS Office and Visio
