SENIOR UNIX SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR
One of our financial clients in NYC is seeking a SeniorUnix Systems Administrator, that will be working with both Red Hat Linux and AIX systems. The Senior Unix Systems Administrator as part of the team will be responsible for supporting all of the company's infrastructure hardware and software.
Needed skills:
• Solid experience in AIX • Experience in managing VIOS specifically version 3.1.2.10 or higher • Strong experience in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) • Extensive years of experience in managing Hardware Management Console (HMC) • Strong Knowledge of IBM Power 9 Hardware. • Strong Knowledge of IBM Power HA • Strong knowledge of Server virtualization, micro partitioning, VMware, Dynamic LPAR, NPIV, SEA, LPM, and Vmotion. • Strong Shell and Perl scripting skills. • Strong Knowledge of Application Systems Disaster Recovery. • Strong Knowledge in Performance Analysis and Tuning, Capacity Planning of Red Hat and AIX. • Knowledge of IBM Spectrum Scale (GPFS) • Knowledge in LDAP technology utilizing IBM Directory Server. • Knowledge in SSL/TLS 1.2 keys implementation. • Ability to provision, configure, operate and maintain systems. • Ability to perform OS upgrades and patch installations. • Ability to perform and maintain weekly AIX system backup and tape backup for disaster recovery. • Knowledge of Oracle RAC Architecture, configuration and implementation. • Experience with Symantec NetBackup and the support backup and Recovery for day-to-day operations and Disaster Recovery. VMware NetBackup implementation experiences are a plus. • Experience with monitoring tools such as BMC Patrol. • Provide support for Windows 2019 servers. • Ability to plan and prioritize work and meet project deadlines. • Working with an enterprise-wide, large-scale matrix environment.
