SENIOR BUSINESS ANALYST 

One of our financial services clients is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join its Enterprise Systems Technology team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing business requirements gathering, documentation, execution, and ongoing support of companywide Enterprise Systems. They will be knowledgeable of industry best practices, have a strong background in workflow and data analysis, and a desire to build automated and optimized procedures and workflows. This candidate will work closely with Technology, Project Management, and Business stakeholders, and serve as a key liaison between all sides of the business. This is a fast-paced role where the ability to multi-task and effectively communicate is a must.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a Product Owner / Manager for Enterprise Systems used company wide
• Work collaboratively with Business, Operations, and Technical teams, and outside vendors, to create & improve controls and procedures with a focus on automation and optimization
• Interview stakeholders and end users to create Business Requirements Documentation used to implement or improve upon existing systems or processes; the candidate may be asked to serve as a point person on various projects and work closely with our Project Management Team
• Analyze our Enterprise Systems and look for synergies across the company to reduce costs and improve efficiency
• Proactively reach out to vendors for support, best practices, and to stay apprised of new offerings that can be utilized company wide
• Strong knowledge and experience with Agile development methodologies and practices. Demonstrated use of concepts such as Scrum, Product Owner, Kanbans, etc.

 
Qualifications:

• 5-10 years of experience in Business Analysis; Candidate must have experience in Financial Services
• Hands on experience working with Development teams, DevOps, Application Support & Management, Infrastructure, etc
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Hands on technical skills, strong analytical and SQL skills, and an understanding of relational databases preferred
• Understanding of Financial Asset Classes – Equities, Options, Fixed Income, Futures, SWAPs, etc – extremely helpful
• Must be capable of breaking down a business problem into constituent sub-problems and solve each one systematically
