Job Description
PROJECT MANAGER/BUSINESS ANALYST
One of our NYC Financial clients is seeking a Project Manager and/or Business Analyst focusing on strategic initiatives in areas of Operations, Finance/Accounting and/or Front Office.This position requires the candidate to manage and be point-of-contact for various initiatives ranging from new businesses or migrations and upgrades where it may require the candidate to work with vendor's project team or in-house developers. The candidate should be proficient in all project-related tools and is able to conduct detailed analysis and UAT
Responsibilities:
Solely capable of running with migration/business change initiatives and deliverables.
Provide Project Management oversight and coordinate to plan, execute and document.
Provide strategic direction and drive the Operations and its correlated departments to follow best practices and controls during planning and implementation phases
Partner with other departments including, Operations, Finance, Trading as well as external vendors
Strong business analysis and presentation skills to help the Steering Committee make key decisions
Lead weekly / monthly governance calls with stakeholders and communicate to other regions .
Qualifications:
5 to 7 years of professional working experience
Experience working in Tier 1 or 2 Broker/Dealer/Investment Banks
Experience working in IT, applications or Infrastructure
Strong personnel, organizational skills and able to manage conflicts and issues
Strong driver to help transition Operations team onto the new platform following best practices
Product and trade processing knowledge is a must
Excellent knowledge in fundamental of project management and identifying critical paths
Good knowledge of application development, vendor management or infrastructure
MS Suite of Applications including MS Project, Powerpoint, Excel and Visio
