One of our financial clients in New Jersey is looking for a Network Operations Analyst with experience handling network operations desk support, being the first point of contact with any trouble calls. You must have the following experience working in network operations……


Knowledge of MPLS and Metro Ethernet

 Troubleshooting BGP

 GRE Tunnels

 Strong LAN/WAN experience

 Monitoring and network troubleshooting experience is a must

 CCNA or CCENT certifications are a +

 Experience using HP Openview (NNM & Operations), Big Brother, Netcool or similar event monitoring tools.

Experience using Help Desk/Trouble-Ticket software, such as ServiceNow, HP ServiceDesk or Remedy.


Must be able to:

 Follow routine checklist of tasks per shift  

Run jobs, confirm completion, reporting; printing tasks triggered by jobs

Work unsupervised and work well in a team.

Provide status updates to management and turnover reporting to other shifts & departments.

Write incidents reports & keep a timeline of events during outage periods.

Follow procedures; provide updates; ask questions; take action; follow up on missing; incomplete or unresolved issues.
