Job Description
SENIOR QA ANALYST
The Quality Assurance Analyst will join a Jersey City based QA team, itself forming part of our Global QA group. As such the role entails QA responsibility for a variety of regional and global projects throughout the SDLC.
Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a formal QA environment in financial services
· MUST HAVE exposure and experience with Market Surveillance and Market Reporting applications (about 3 – 5 years’ experience)
· MUST HAVE 3 – 5 years’ experience in a team lead role within QA
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Requirements analysis
Test specification, test script creation and maintenance
Test planning and strategy
Manual execution of test scripts
Managing resolution of test issues via defect tracking system
Attending project meetings to report status and to take follow up actions needed
UAT support
SKILLS:
Exposure to global financial markets and a broad understanding of financial products
Exposure to Market Surveillance and Market Reporting applications
Familiarity with HP Quality Centre software preferable
Ability to identify and realize opportunities for improving the efficiency of existing processes
KNOWLEDGE:
A very solid understanding of test methodologies and best practice and their application
Strong organizational skills and excellent analytical and decision making abilities
Service driven, adaptable, resilient and capable of working to deadlines
Excellent attention to detail
A readiness to embrace ownership of tasks and responsibility for delivering high quality results
Ability to quickly understand and apply unfamiliar technical and business concepts
Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively to support multiple concurrent projects
Excellent written and oral communication skills; concise and confident
Strong initiative and the flexibility to work individually or as part of a team
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a formal QA environment
Experience testing market surveillance systems.
Proven experience of testing over the full SDLC on complex client-server systems
Track record of delivering high quality detailed work in security sensitive systems
Knowledge of fixed income markets (desirable)
ISTQB foundation certificate (desirable)
