IT Project Manager/Business Analyst

 

  

 

One of our financial trading clients is seeking a highly motivated and self-starting IT PM/BA. The successful candidate will be responsible for the requirements definition and overall success of a project.

Responsibilities include scope and resource management, manage day-to-day project issues and resolution, establish and maintain communication to key stakeholders, and be able to work effectively across organizational boundaries.

 

As a Business Analyst, he/she serves as a liaison between Business users and technical resources in the development or enhancements of complex information systems supporting the Trading Systems (e.g., Settlement System, Billing Systems, Market Monitoring tools). He/she is responsible for creating Business Requirements Documents and Functional Specifications.  In order to be considered for this position you MUST HAVE Fixed Income and Trading Systems experience

 

Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Create and execute project work plans

Identify resource needs and assign individual responsibility

Manage day-to-day aspects of project including scope management

Report status to key stakeholders – project team, internal management

Manage the client through the lifecycle of the project

Analyze and document business requirements

Carry out business analysis and assist developers with business knowledge

Write and publish IT technical documentation (i.e. Functional Specifications, process flows, and use cases) in line with the company SDLC process

Form strong relationships and interface closely with all functional areas, e.g. Product Managers, Development, and QA to gather data and ensure the final work product complies with expectations

Understand the company business, product offerings and technology

Participate in issue management and tracking

Review and validate test cases

Experience

5+ years’ work experience in Trading Systems and Fixed Income either within an investment bank or a systems vendor.

Some work experience in I.T. project management.

5-7 years Business Analysis experience within the Financial Services IT environment

Bachelor’s Degree or higher, or equivalent professional experience
