SSUSA Job #611: Payment Production Support Specialist

Job Description






Our global banking client is looking for someone who will be responsible for providing production support for the Bank's money transfer applications. These applications are carrying out payment instructions received via SWIFT, CHIPS, FEDWIRE, CHAPS, DTA, SEPA, ACH, CMS and internal Bank’s application sources. In addition, this role requires an understanding of compliance critical applications to support payment sanctioned list screening such as OFAC, MOFA, BOE, European and interfaces to/from other back office applications.
The role also supports payment processing to ensure minimal to no interruption of the Money Transfer applications on daily basis supporting the Bank’s daily settlement with the payment networks. Provide support of the money transfer complex (22X6) including support of the Bank's Disaster/ Recovery program. Include making recommendations to improve service.






Experience/Knowledge Requirements:


 5 + years of experience working with Money Transfer applications or Money Transfer Operations

  • This role requires extensive knowledge of Money Transfer Operations including knowledge of payments from FED, CHIPS, SWIFT, Foreign Currency payments, European payments such as CHAPS, SEPA, German DTA payments, France Payments and Belgium Payments would be ideal
  • Understanding SWIFT message format and processing cutoffs for payment service providers
  • Knowledge of sanctioned list screening for payments application
  • Background in providing production support services for commercial payment processing
  • Banking background preferred
  • Experience with Red Hat, Suse Linux and AIX 
  • Understanding of Unix file system structure and permissions
  • Experience with korn shell and perl programming 
  • Experience with IBM Webshpere MQ will be a plus
