IT PROJECT MANAGER CONSULTANT
One of our financial clients is seeking an IT Project Manager Consultant for their office in Chicago, IL. Only respond to this position if you live in the Chicago area, as it requires you to be in the office at least one day each week. This position is responsible for project management delivery of multiple complex projects in their Infrastructure and Operations Team. The ideal candidate is credentialed, collaborative, accountable, communicative, and entrepreneurial, follow project processes, actively manages risk and maintains program management reports, budgets and documentation. They must actively build relationships with other PMOs, divisions, locations and vendors for the benefit of the project.
Job Functions
Directly manage the planning and execution of I&O projects and dashboards.
Ensure that project execution is aligned with business priorities, budget and resource availability.
Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, and act as the primary escalation point for critical issues.
Facilitate prioritization, scope control, and resource allocation decisions with project stakeholders. Produce and coordinate effective communication among teams, other PMOs and stakeholders.
Experience / Education
Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in a financial, or management field.
Experience managing projects in JIRA is required
Demonstrated ability/experience in successfully developing, implementing and managing/improving projects is required. Experience with projects in Technology, in particular Cloud migrations, is desired.
AGILE/WATERFALL is preferred
Minimum of five to seven years experience managing projects.
Certifications
Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or Agile Certification (Scrum) is preferred
