POWER BI DEVELOPER-REPORT WRITER
One of our clients in NYC is seeking an experienced Power BI Developer-Report Writer to provide a key role in providing data to their business team to assist in the decision making process.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develops, deploys, and maintains SSRS reports
o Develop extensive, uniform, and dynamic reports
o Develop dynamic reporting interface with filterable parameters
o Optimizes SQL server queries to efficiently extract, summarize, aggregate, and present data
o Create and design best-practice data warehouse solutions that support business reporting tasks
o Validate the results of SQL queries with end users to ensure discrepancies do not exist
o Interact with all teams to gather requirements and create reports following the best practices and standards from writing the queries to maintaining the data environment
o Maintains and optimizes existing SSRS reports
• Develops, deploys, and maintains the HYE PowerBI environment
o Understands business requirements in BI context and design data models to transform raw data into meaningful insights
o Design, develop, test, and deploy Power BI scripts and perform detailed analytics
o Perform DAX queries and functions in Power BI
o Create PowerBI dashboards and interactive visual reports
o Redefine and make technical/strategic changes to enhance Business Intelligence
• Performs general data validation, cleansing, analysis and transforming
• Develops and maintains SSIS packages to perform ETL functionalities
• Develops and maintains ETL data flow processes and frameworks including data extraction from source systems to staging and Data warehouse environment
• Continually optimizes processes involving large data sets to improve performance
• Continually troubleshoots errors and event handling: precedence Constraints, CheckPoints and Logging
• Develops and maintains stored procedures, functions, indexes and triggers
