Director, PMO (Program Management Office)

One of our Social Media platform clients in NYC  is seeking an experienced leader to drive the program execution of Software Development Programs in an agile environment. The role will both actively manage global programs as well as manage other product managers Scrum Masters globally. They will work closely with Engineering Directors, Sr. Product Managers, Architects, and UX.  The role can work remotely or from our NYC (Manhattan) office, you will manage a team across the U.S. and overseas and collaborate with leaders and executives across the company to deliver the highest quality for our product. The role reports directly to CTO with a dotted line reporting to Deputy CTO.



·       Collaborating with other divisional leaders to define, prioritize, and develop projects and products

·       Planning program, product & projects management, including setting deadlines, prioritizing tasks, and assigning team members to various deliverables

·       Evaluating the management of a project and identify the areas (Business Case including Financial Model, ROI, Scope, Staff, Resource, Schedule, Risk, and Finance) that either require additional definition or are not being sufficiently managed

·       Overseeing the development of the project and ensuring that team members are carrying out their tasks efficiently while upholding the company's standards

·       Drafting new and improving existing project management office policies and processes

·       Developing and managing the enterprise roadmap aligned to enterprise strategic initiatives

·       Continuously evaluating projects to ensure they are meeting company standards, adhering to budgets, and meeting deadlines

·       Accurately documenting the project's creation, development, and execution as well as documenting the project's scope, budget, and justification

·       Providing ongoing coaching and mentoring to PMO staff and product managers


  • A Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is a PLUS
  • A minimum of 10 years experience in the industry
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in a supervisory position

·       10+ years of program management experience in Agile Software Development, particularly in the SaaS product experience

·       Proficiency in Software Development LifeCycle (SDLC) and methodologies

·       Exposure to programming and ability to understand basic software architecture concepts

·       Prior experience working in geographically distributed teams and offshoring partners

·       Ability to influence across functional boundaries and across multiple organizational levels to drive results

·       Track record of delivery in rapidly changing, highly collaborative, multi-site, multi-stakeholder environments

·       Someone who loves to learn, and is passionate about helping others

·       Being comfortable with ambiguity and facilitating discussions to explore the best possible solutions

·       Experience with data science and Internet-scale infrastructure

·       Startup technical infrastructure experience, preferably in a regulatory environment such as finance/payments

·       Cryptocurrency or bitcoin exposure is a plus
